Avril Lavigne is giving away the track “What the Hell” for free to her facebook fans.

The free download became available on New Year’s Day after Avril performed the new song live on Dick Clark‘s New Years Eve show hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Fergie. We love the catchy tune. Enjoy!

Avril Lavigne is poising herself for a comeback. Not only will the pop-punk princess debut her brand-new single, “What the Hell,” on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2011,” but she’s also treating fans to a free download of the tune on New Year’s Day.
In order to get the freebie, fans will need to head to the Avril’s official Facebook page and “like” the starlet on January 1. As of now, the singer/songwriter has uploaded a 21-second video titled “Knock! Knock!” to the social media site to tease the premiere. The clip begins with the song’s flashing title before a cameraman walks up to Lavigne’s trailer and knocks on the door. The clip ends with the 26-year-old starlet opening the door and proclaiming, “What the hell?”
Earlier this month, the Canadian songstress described the lead single off Goodbye Lullaby, which hits stores March 8, as “an unabashed embrace of fun and freedom.” However, Lavigne has stressed in numerous interviews that the rest of the LP will have a raw essence to it. Among other tunes featured on the new album are “Smile,” which she described on her website as a rocker in which she “expresses her gratitude for special people in her life,” the ballad “Wish You Were Here” and the song she told Entertainment Weekly was the album’s most personal track, “Goodbye.”[MTV]

A new unreleased Katy Perry track has leaked online. The single “Part of Me” was not included on Katy’s Grammy nominated album Teenage Dream. According to MTV Katy Perry’s next single may be E.T. We love this song and can’t understand why it wasn’t included on the initial release of the album. Some of our other faves are “Hummingbird Heartbeat”and “Last Friday Night”. Enjoy the song!

With reported production by pop mastermind Dr. Luke, the song has Perry declaring herself unbreakable after an ugly breakup, singing, “Days like this I want to drive away/ Pack my bags and watch your shadow fade/ ‘Cause you chewed me up and spit me out/ Like I was poison in your mouth/ You took my light, you drink me down/ That was then and this is now, now look at me.”
Similar to the pop star’s hit single “California Gurls,” the tune’s steady beat amplifies as the chorus opens. “This is the part of me/ That you’re never gonna ever take away from me/ Throw your sticks in the stones/ Throw your palms in your clothes/ But you’re not gonna break my soul/ This is the part of me that you’re never gonna ever take away from me,” she sings.
“Part of Me” is rumored to be a leftover cut from the singer’s Teenage Dream recording sessions. However, fans have speculated that the track may be included in a yet-to-be-confirmed re-release of the Grammy-nominated LP.
In addition to the new material, fans can rejoice in yet another Perry tune, “E.T.,” as online reports have indicated that the futuristic song has been selected as the pop star’s next single. Despite multiple live performances of the song, Perry took to Twitter to ask her legion of fans which track they’d like the singer to release next. “Thanks for all your great suggestions for the next single today!” she tweeted on December 13.
