LIL WAYNE FEAT. SHANELL “RUNNING” MUSIC VIDEO + LIL WAYNE “DA DA DA” MUSIC VIDEO

Lil Wayne debuted 2 music videos this week. The rapper is currently on lockdown serving a jail sentence at Rikers Island prison. The videos for “Da Da Da” and “Running were filmed prior to Wayne’s prison term. Da Da Da has an uptempto  rock beat while “Running” is a duet with Weezy’s rumored new baby mama Shanell.

While the full-length video for “Da Da Da” premiered on Thursday night, fans will have to get by for now on our previews of the other three clips. But luckily, MTV News caught up with Young Money songstress Shanell who offered to break down the concept for “Runnin’,” which she admitted she had yet to see in full.

“Well, it was a long day, and a lot of the videos we did that day were green screen,” Shanell told us during a trip to the Manolo Blahnik store in New York City on Thursday. “The song is talking about running and [asking] when will whatever it is that you’re going through that’s not a positive thing end. So ‘Runnin’ ‘ is about wanting whatever it is in your life to stop.”

Shanell explained that in the video, an earthquake and other natural disasters and even a war, are metaphors and not visuals she had in mind while she was writing her portion of the song. “That wasn’t in my head. It was whatever personal thing that I was going through that I wanted to end. That’s what I was expressing, but when you write a song you want everybody to kind of relate, so the audience can make it mean whatever it means to them.”

Asked about whether she’d recently spoken to Wayne, Shanell revealed she had seen and spoken to the MC since he began serving a yearlong sentence on Rikers Island in March. Despite his current circumstances, Weezy’s staying strong, according to the singer.

“He’s a very strong individual so he’s not going to get on the phone with any of us and be like, ‘Oh I can’t do it. I can’t’ … He sounds strong, and we’re all praying for him and all of the fans are praying for him.”[MTV]

GARY COLEMAN DEAD AT 42 DIFFERENT STROKES ACTOR DIES

We are sad to report that former child actor, Gary Coleman, has died at the age of 42.  Coleman died after falling down the stairs and suffering from a brain hemorrhage. We send our prayers and Gary Coleman’s family members and loved ones.

Todd Bridges is the last one standing.

On Friday, the actor spoke briefly to the Associated Press about the death of his Diff’rent Strokes costar Gary Coleman.

“It’s unfortunate. It’s a sad day…It’s sad that I’m the last kid alive from the show.

Back in 1999, Coleman and Bridges’ Diff’rent Strokes castmate Dana Plato (she played their adoptive sister Kimberly) died at age 34 of a drug overdose in what was ruled a suicide; she had pled guilty to a robbery charge in 1991. Tragically, earlier this month, Plato’s surviving 25-year-old son Tyler Lambert also committed suicide.

Todd Bridges, 45, had his own struggles: he was acquitted in 1989 in the attempted murder of a drug dealer. He has spoken extensively of his depression and drug abuse following the sitcom’s 1986 cancellation.

Reportedly clean and sober today, Bridges also Tweeted of his friend Coleman sad death: “don’t know what to really think today will have to really pray about this one.”  After suffering an intercranial hemorrhage Wednesday, Coleman slipped into a coma on Thursday, and died Friday just past noon in a Provo, Utah hospital, with his wife Shannon Price and other family members by his side. He was 42 years old.  [US]

When hardworking TV producer Becky Fuller (McAdams) is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her hapless love life. Stumbling into a job at “Daybreak” (the lastplace national morning news show), Becky decides to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford). Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts let alone work with his new cohost, Colleen Peck (Keaton), a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality who is more than happy covering morning “news.”

As Mike and Colleen clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, Becky’s blossoming love affair with fellow producer, Adam Bennett (Wilson) begins to unravel and soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself. The commercial is said to be shot in New York.
