BET HIP HOP AWARDS WINNERS + PHOTOS

Rapper Nicki Minaj was a big winner at the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta.

Here are some of the winners from the awards show.  The audience was filled with music stars like Rick Ross, Diddy, Keri Hilson, Fabolous, Kelly Rowland. Drake was also a big winner after the release of his debut album.According to AllHipHop. com, while the night featured veteran performers (Diddy, MC Hammer and Rick Ross) the awards mostly went to relative  newcomers.  Drake and Nicki Minaj came away big winners. Rapper Kanye West appear on Saturday Night live over the weekend. The hip hop star performed his hits “Power” and “Runaway” with Pusha T from the Clipse.  Kanye West has taken alot of heat after his public humiliation of country cutie Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMA‘s.  However, Kanye decided to change the lyrics to his controversial song “Power” during his live set on SNL. Kanye West has the power to change his own lyrics — and he’s not afraid to use it.

After bashing “Saturday Night Live” and its cast on his new song “Power” for mocking the moment he bogarted Taylor Swift’s mic at the VMAs last year, West changed the lyrics while performing on the NBC show.

“F— ‘SNL’ and the whole cast,” he originally sang. “Tell ‘em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole a–.”

But after West bumped into “SNL’s” executive producer, Lorne Michaels –- “uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum …. Akwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard LOL!” he tweeted — the singer changed his infamous lyrics. [NYDN]
