Kanye West preached to the masses about “Power” while standing on a virtual mountaintop. Chris Brown dazzled the audience with his song and dance tribute to The King of Pop.

We never said Chris Brown wasn’t a good performer. We were surprised when the once squeeky clean crooner broke down during this rendition of “Man in the Mirror”. It seems like Michael Jacksons words and music touched Chris Brown’s heart.  CB was so choked up he couldn’t continue singing.  We miss you and will always love you MJ. RIP

The BET Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah, were broadcast on June 27, 2010. The late pop star Michael Jackson was honored by the tribute by Chris Brown. Prince received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Following are a list of BET winners and a pictures slideshow from the BET Awards.

Kanye West, notorious for grabbing the microphone from Taylor Swift at the MTV awards in 2009, opened the BET Awards.

Michael Jackson was paid tribute to at the The BET Awards broadcast on June 27, 2010. Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson, introduced Chris Brown, who has caused a lot of post show buzz by getting emotional when he was supposed to sing and dance to ‘Man in the Mirror.’

Chris Brown has been keeping a low profile since pleading guilty to felony assault for beating Rihnna in February, 2009. Brown made a comeback with the performance at the BET Awards. Brown mimicked Jackson’s signature dance moves as he work a fedora, and spangled glove as he moonwalked across the stage to Billie Jean. When it was time to sing ‘Man in the Mirror, Brown broke down.

Brown returned to the stage later to receive the AOL ‘fandennonium award.’

ALICIA KEYS BET AWARDAlicia Keys won big at last night’s BET Awards. The R&B singer took home the “Best Female R&B” statuette at LA’s Shrine auditorium.

AKeys was glowing during her stage performance. She is pregnant and engaged to hip hop producer Swizz Beatz.  The night was a big one for comebacks.

KANYE BET AWARDS2

Kanye West gave a showstopping performance of his new hit “Power” while perched on top of a mountain.  The rapper has kept a low profile after his MTV VMA snafu with Taylor Swift. Eminem made a rare public appearance on the BET stage.

Chris Brown also attempted to resurrect his faltering career with a choreographed tribute to Michael Jackson.

CB got emotional during the tribute and  broke down in tears while singing about his idol.
