T.I. ADMITS DRUG PROBLEM IN VIBE MAGAZINE

T.I. admits he has a drug problem in the latest issue of Vibe Magazine. The rapper claims he developed an addiction to pain killers after dental surgery.

The rapper tells VIBE that he developed a drug habit after extensive dental surgery.  "I had a lot of work done to my teeth," he says. "Oral surgery, extractions, six, seven, eight root canals. Between January to February."

T.I. told the magazine that during his prison stint last year he had fillings and things fall out which had to be repaired, and he was given pain killers oxycontin and hydrocodone.

"Then I get these pills and I start taking them for the pain at first," he told the publication. "And then I'm like, Wait―this [expletive]makes me feel good. And it's legal."

The rapper said he continued taking the medication, even after he had healed from his surgeries the way others "might have a drink or smoke a blunt."

"And eventually I developed―I guess―the beginning stages of dependence," he said.

T.I., who is currently serving time for violating his probation on an earlier federal weapons conviction, said he discussed his issue with fellow artist Eminem, who has also battled addiction.

"I asked him how he knew he was an addict," T.I. said. "Basically if you put yourself in harm's way… if you risk that, you've got to assume that there is something fundamentally wrong with your thought process." [CNN]

CHARLIE SHEEN SUES PORNSTAR CAPRI ANDERSON FOR EXTORTION AFTER PLAZA HOTEL SCANDAL

Charlie Sheen is suing pornstar, Capri Anderson, for extortion after the escort filed a civil lawsuit against the star of Two and A Half Men. Capri Anderson appeared on Good Morning America and Nightline for an exclusive interview about the night she spent with Sheen in the Plaza hotel.

The suit claims that actress Capri Anderson asked for $1 million to keep her story out of the press. It also claims Anderson stole a $165,000 watch from Sheen’s hotel room.

Anderson was not immediately available for comment on the suit.

Anderson, who was found in Sheen’s hotel bedroom when police responded to a call about a disorderly man in the hotel last month, filed a complaint against the actor today with the New York Police Department after detailing her experience to ABC News.

Anderson told ABC News in her first interview that she was hired that night for $3,500 to escort Sheen to dinner, but that the night quickly turned violent in a room at The Plaza Hotel in New York. Sheen, she said, threatened to kill her and called her a “whore.”

“I never expected the night would unfold the way it did,” she told “Good Morning America” today in an exclusive interview.

“He definitely was growing more intense as the night grew and went on. It’s hard to say being that it was my first time hanging out with him if it was normal of his everyday behavior or not,” Anderson said. “He seemed like a very egotistical person.”

Anderson’s police complaint accused Sheen of harassment in the second degree, an alleged violation that is less serious than a misdemeanor or a felony, police said.

If the Manhattan district attorney decides to prosecute the case and Sheen is found guilty, the actor could face a maximum of 15 days in jail, though offenders often receive a conditional discharge with an order of protection for the victim.

The day after the incident, which ended with police storming the room and taking Sheen to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, Anderson was contacted by the actor via text message, Anderson told “Nightline” in a separate interview, and offered $20,000 for her silence.

“Just to not talk to anybody about it and go about my business,” she said.

“He apologized for his behavior and for the entire evening, I guess,” she said. “The apology was very simple.” [ABC]
